Thorstenson leads at Eureka cross country dual

Eureka — Libby High School cross country senior Lauren Thorstenson finished second at the Eureka-Libby dual on Aug. 30 with a 23:10 5k time, placing highest out of both the boys and girls teams.

The meet also saw a significant performance for the Lady Loggers from the middle school, with seven of ten 1.5 mile runners from Libby, and the top three spots taken by Libby runners: 7th grader Annika Benner (11:55), 8th grader Aurora Smith (12:02) and 7th grader Kailey Skranak (12:11).

Libby Middle School 7th grader Greyson Thompson placed second for the Loggers with 9:48 in the boys 1.5 mile run, and 5th grader Kaiden Dodson took fourth with 10:47.
