Menís Golf League Championship

Payne West Insurance emerged as the winners of the the Menís League Championship at Cabinet View Golf Club Tuesday.

Terry Patrick, Jr. Crismore, Robin Swimley and Mark Managhan made up the winning team for the Tuesday Night Menís Golf League.

They defeated the Pastime Bar and Grill team 10 points to 6 points to claim the title.

The Pastime team had advanced to the final round of the championship on August 8 by defeating Timberline Auto 11 points to 4 points.

In the preliminary, Payne West won out over Fish ní Golf 12 points to 4 points.

Womenís Club Championship

Dee Wright was the winner of the Womenís Club Championship at Cabinet View Golf Club August 15.

The club championship was a match play bracket format.

The final round was played between Wright and Nancy Hull for the championship.

Anna Guthrie won, 4 and 3, vs. Bobbie Bamford

Bobbie Lacklen, bye

Nancy Hull, bye

Round 2

Wright won, 2 and 1, vs. Guthrie

Hull won, 2 and 1, vs. Lacklen

Wright won, 4 and 3, vs. Hull

Cabinet View Member Guest Tournament

The Cabinet View Golf Club Member Guest Tournament was held Saturday and Sunday, August 11-12.

The winning team in the championship flight were Jonny Cielak and Joseph Potkonjak, with a 126 gross. Second place went to Jared and Wally Winslow with a 139.

First net in the championship flight were Rick Stint and Roger Mcnulty with 129. Second net was a three way tie between teams Robin Swimley and Craig Henkel, Dann and Brandann Rohrer, and Jackie Mee and Al Green.

In the first flight, Mark Managhan and Ron Soete had first gross with 146. Second gross went to Mike Managhan and Burt Cannon with 148.

Ron Hull and Micah Germany had first net with 127 in the first flight, and Wayne and Chuck Haines made second net with 130.

For the second flight, Gary Peck and Jerry Michels had 162 for first gross, and Zak Sargent and Monte Wicka had a 167 for second gross.

First net went to Jr. and Wyatt Crismore with 136, and Dee Wright and Nikki Mee had second net with a 138.

On August 13, Don Walker got a hole-in-one on hole 11 at the Cabinet View Golf Club, a 100-yard drive with a pitching wedge. The hole-in-one was witnessed by Dave Cosgriff.
