Ardith L. Guinard, 77, of Libby passed away Thursday, Nov. 30, 2017 at the Libby Care Center. She was born October 21, 1940 in Troy to Lionel and Edith (Stapley) Scott.

Ardith owned and operated a ceramic shop for numerous years in Libby and later on Bull Lake Road. She began Kootenai Clays, digging clay locally and creating unique pieces of ceramics with streaks of browns, pinks and sometimes blue. She loved and raised Pomeranian dogs to sell and she had a large bird aviary and raised numerous types.

Ardith belonged to Tender Loving Quilters quilt guild in Troy; the VFW Women’s Auxiliary; and a worldwide pen club. Ardith cooked for several places which included Bears Truck Stop, Husky Café, Jacks Café, the Troy Schools and the Troy Senior Center. She enjoyed quilting, embroidering, crocheting, ceramics, stained glass, pinochle, sewing, baking and reading. She will be greatly missed by her family and friends that knew and loved her.
