•Monday, June 18: St. John Lutheran Church will host early registration for vacation Bible school for children ages 4 to 12 in its church park from 3 p.m. to 5 p.m. There will be water play, games and food. Kids who register by June 18 will receive a t-shirt. Those unable to attend that day can register by calling 406-293-3386. Classes will be 6:30 p.m. to 9 p.m. July 9 to July 13. There may be a class for students ages 13 to 17 if at least four register. The theme of the classes is “Splash Canyon—God’s Promise on Life’s Wild Ride.”

•Thursday, June 21: Pure North Athletic will host the Libby Area Chamber of Commerce’s free monthly “Business and Banter” networking event from 5 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. There will be drinks, appetizers, raffles, prizes, and a special rate for new members who sign up at the event. In addition, any current member who refers a new member will get an extra ticket put in a drawing for Pure North Athletic gear, gift certificates for sauna and massage, and free membership for a year.

•Thursday, June 21: American Red Cross is holding a blood drive from 11 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. at Libby VFW Post No. 1548 at 114 West 2nd St. in Libby. To schedule an appointment, call Gloria Byrnes at 406-293-5233. Walk-ins are welcome.

•Thursday, June 21: The Fisher River Fire Service Area Board of Trustees will hold a budget meeting 7 p.m. at the firehall in Happys Inn.

•Friday, June 22: Libby VFW Post No. 1548 will distribute commodities to seniors age 60 and older beginning 10 a.m. at 114 West 2nd. St. in Libby. The distribution is part of the Commodity Supplemental Food Program, which aims to supplement the diets of low-income seniors with foods such as oats, dry beans, low- or no-sodium canned vegetables and peanut butter. •Monday, June 25: A NW Montana AARP Smart Driver Course will be held 8:30 a.m. to 1 p.m. at Libby Christian Church at 100 Kootenai River Rd. Reserve at 406-283-7000.

•Saturday, June 30: The sixth annual Yaak School Arts and Crafts Fair happens 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. at the historic Yaak One Room School House at 29893 Yaak River Rd. (between mile marker 30 and 31). Proceeds will benefit special projects at the school. Arts and crafts will include knitted items, photography, rugs, paintings and more, including items made by the school’s students. Free kids activities will be available from 12:30 p.m. to 3:00 pm. Attendees can purchase lunch from Cabinet Mountain Catering and baked goods from the Yaak Women’s Club.

•Wednesday, July 11: A new meeting of Overeaters Anonymous begins noon at Libby Christian Church at 100 Kootenai River Rd. The 2 p.m. Monday meeting has been canceled. For more information call 406-334-7171.

•Saturday, July 14: The annual Big Sky Bash to benefit Libby’s Center for Asbestos Related Disease happens at J. Neils Park in Libby and features Skid Row, the Flathead V8s, Dead Fervor and Devon Wade. Gates open at 5 p.m., and the music is from 6 p.m. to 1 a.m. Tickets go on sale May 1 for $25 in advance and $30 at the gate. All proceeds benefit the CARD Foundation. •Saturday, July 30: An AARP drivers safety class will be held at Libby Christian Church from 8:30 am to 1 pm. Call 406-283-7000 to make a reservation.
