•Friday, April 20: The Astronomy Club meets 6 p.m. at 324 White Ave. in Libby (watch for the Stargazer sign). President Janine Wesley will present on “The Quantum Multiverse,” and Kathy Nielsen will report on the night sky. Gourmet homemade soup will be courtesy David and Theresa Muniz. Anyone is welcome. •Friday, April 20: Kootenai Pets for Life’s fundraising rummage sale will be held 5 p.m. to 8 p.m. in the Ponderosa Room behind Libby City Hall at 952 E Spruce St.

•Saturday, April 21: The Troy High School student council will be hosting a Spring Faire Crafts and Car Show from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. in the high school’s gymnasium and parking lot. The Gear Up Club will also offer a free hot dog lunch from noon to 2 p.m. Anyone interested in reserving a space to display crafts or vintage cars can contact Tisee Lewis at the high school at 406-295-4520 or tlewis@troyk12.org. Vendor fees from the event support Troy High School clubs and activities.

•Saturday, April 21: Kootenai Pets for Life’s fundraising rummage sale will be held 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. in the Ponderosa Room behind Libby City Hall at 952 E. Spruce St.

•Saturday, April 21: A rummage sale to benefit women’s education will be held in the gym at Asa Wood School at 700 Idaho Ave. in Libby. Representatives from Chapter BJ of the Philanthropic Educational Organization, which holds the annual event, will be there to provide more information scholarships, grants and Cottey College, its affiliated college in Missouri.

•Saturday, April 21: The Independent Order of Odd Fellows will hold its annual fundraising German dinner starting 5 p.m. at Libby VFW Post No. 1548 at 108 West 4th St. German sausage, sauerkraut, spetzle, German chocolate cake and potato salad will be served. Tickets are $10 and available in advance at the VFW or Libby Area Chamber of Commerce or at the door. Two cords of fire wood will be raffled off for home delivery. There will be a 50/50 drawing and door prizes as well.

•Friday, April 27: Kootenai Valley Christian School’s “Artists Arise” art show will take place from 5 p.m. to 8 p.m. at Assembly of God Church at 105 Collins Ave. in Libby. Tribal Waves will perform at 6 p.m., and guitarist Buddy Tetreault will also play during the event. There will be live and silent auctions, and a raffle drawing for a scenic flight, a stay at Pend Oreille Shores resort or a ladies handgun. Tickets are available at the school at 1024 Montana Ave. in Libby. For more information call 406-293-2303.

•Saturday, April 28: Author and wildlife rehabilitator Janie Veltkamp will be at Libby Dam with five or six live birds of prey and educational talks every 30 minutes from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Birds will be viewable from 10 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. Admission is free.

•Monday, April 30: An AARP Smart Driver Course happens at the Libby Christian Church at 100 Kootenai River Rd. from 8:30 a.m. to 1 p.m. To make a reservation call 406-283-7000.
