Cynthia Ann (Priest) Zamzow, 55, died on June 29, 2009, at her home in Libby.

She was born Jan. 22, 1954, in San Antonio, Texas to Alvin and Nancy (Goodman) Priest. The youngest of 10 children, she grew up outside San Antonio and attended the South Side school district.

Mrs. Zamzow worked at several local businesses including Subway, Rosauers and Champion International lumber mill before attending the University of Montana in Missoula. She obtained her associate of arts degree in 1997 in medical office technology.

She enjoyed spreading God’s love with gifts of goodies and developed a reputation for her sugar cookies, cream puffs, potato salad and other dishes. She also enjoyed sewing and made a tradition out of making new dresses for her daughters for Christmas and Easter.

Mrs. Zamzow was also a sharpshooter and in 1993 and 2008, bagged a moose. She enjoyed deer and antelope hunting as well along with other outdoor activities such as downhill skiing.

She was preceded in death by her parents and siblings.

She is survived by her husband of 35 years, Rick; her daughters; a granddaughter and dozens of nieces, nephews, great nieces and great nephews.

Visitation for the immediate family was held Wednesday. Services were planned for Thursday, July 2 at 2 p.m. at the Libby Christian Church. Following the gravesite service, family and friends are invited to return to the church for food and drink. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the family.

Schnackenberg & Nelson Funeral Home in Libby handled arrangements.
