The 2017 Nordicfest Heritage Festival begins with the Bunad procession at noon Friday, Sept. 8 between the Care Center and the Hospital. Bunad is the term for Scandinavian traditional dress.

The procession will go west on 2nd Street, south on Mineral Avenue and then east on Lincoln Boulevard to the Memorial Center.

For the first time, organizers expect some of the Kootenai Karacters will join in the procession. On Friday and Saturday nights, the Kootenai Karacters will present “Cornfield of Dreams” at the Maki Theater.
