Trojans lose twice to Copperheads

The Lady Trojans took on the Anaconda Copperheads, Saturday, April 8 in a double header. In game one the Copperheads took the game in five innings by a score of 13-1. The Lady Trojan’s second baseman Grace Dolan and catcher Kaylee Tunison went one hit with three at bats. Taylor Carter also had one hit with one at bat. Dolan had the lone RBI for the Lady Trojans. The Copperheads had 10 hits with four RBI’s which contributed to the win over the Lady Trojans. Micheala Cortright was the winning pitcher for the Copperheads.

In game two, the Copperheads topped the Lady Trojans with a score of 3-21 in five innings. Second baseman, Taylor Carter and center fielder Grace Dolan each went one hit with two at bats. Shortstop Alyssa Lewis went one hit for three at bats. Dolan crushed a triple in the third inning of the game resulting in two RBIs. The Lady Trojans were unable to rally up more runs in the final two innings of the game. The winning pitcher for the Copperheads was Ashley Gates.
